After having classical training in Beijing China at the New Oriental Chef School, he came to the US in 1983 and then became a chef in Benihama restaurant at New York City. He first contacted Teppanyaki there, and turned out to be one of the most famous ascendant Teppanyaki chef in the US. Now, with his 26-year master chef experience, Huy Duong is well known in the area for his artistry, and has been featured on Boston's Phantom Gourmet.
